Jayne Gottlieb, DirectorDirector, Choreographer and Producer

Jayne Gottlieb was first introduced to the Valley when she came to work at the Crystal Palace.  She spent five years with the Crystal Palace and worked with Theatre Aspen as director of education before starting her own company.  Jayne also has a very rich dance background in jazz, tap, hip hop and many dances of the world, studying in some of the most progressive studios in California, New York and also at the University of Virgina where she graduated in 2001 with a B.A in Theatre Arts.  Jayne’s theatre experience began at a very young age where she grew up participating in a fantastic youth theatre group in Marin County, CA., with the very accomplished Marilyn Izdebski, who’s company is the model for Jayne Gottlieb Productions.  Just recently Jayne is so excited to have sharpened her skills being part of the cast in ACT’s fantastic production of Chicago.

Jayne is also thrilled to be opening, in June, her very own studio, Studio Moxie, the first dance and yoga studio of its kind in the valley to offer all kinds of dance & yoga classes to all ages & abilities. Until June, she is very excited to be teaching at the W.I.N Institute, a temporary space in which she can bring her energy and enthusiasm for dance kinds to the kids and adults of this valley.  In October of 2008, Jayne most recently earned her Zumba certification, and looks forward to introducing this very popular Latin syle dance fitness class to the valley.  Her classes focus on beginning through advanced technique for both the young and more experienced dancer so that healthy habits can be learned and practiced.  Dancing with Jayne you can expect high energy fun filled classes set to some of the greatest music from all over the world. It is her goal to inspire all of her students to dance for the fun of it and to bring this beautiful & celebratory cross cultural art into the bodies and souls of this community.
